Jenny Thor will strengthen the distribution area at Publizon

Publizon has hired Jenny Thor as Vice President of Digital Distribution in Sweden, Norway and Finland. Her primary focus will be to develop distribution opportunities from publishers to booksellers and streaming services.

"The publishing industry is in a favorable position with lots of potential. Overall, the industry is growing and digitalization opens up new opportunities and easier access to new markets. We want to engage closely with publishers and support their business as we also expand their horizons with new business opportunities. Jenny will be a central figure on that journey," says Lasse Nyrup, CEO of Publizon AB.

Jenny Thor was most recently CEO of WAPI and before that held senior positions in the publishing industry in Copenhagen, Stockholm and New York over the past 20 years. Her unique network and focus on the global perspective has been an important experience to bring into Publizon, says Lasse Nyrup:

"We have great ambitions on behalf of publishers and the book industry. We believe that with digitization and technological development, the book market is currently embarking on a new and more international journey. When we streamline distribution and connect all countries, it requires fewer resources for already international publishers to export their content. For the many publishers who don't have the resources, we make exporting possible. Publishers can start keeping the digital rights themselves and send the books out to many more markets than today. Jenny will be an important resource for both us and the publishers on this journey."

Jenny Thor will join Publizon as VP on February 1, 2024, based in Stockholm. Jenny will report to Jeppe Mossin, who will also become Senior Vice President of digital distribution and libraries for all countries in which Publizon and WeDoBooks operate.
